Automatic Copy

Hi Folks, I have a Gmail account in Edge browser but use Thunderbird to read & send my mail thanks to Google breaking the mail settings.
If I send a message from Edge, a copy appears in TB inbox. If I send a message using TB to anyone, a copy appears in Gmail's All Mail folder.
Both have the same Gmail Account & Password. I don't forward mail to any where else or use Cc & Bcc.
Mozilla have been informed of this but unable to give a solution sofar.

I'm not at all sure I understand what the problem is. Does "a Gmail account in Edge browser" mean you have a shortcut in Edge that opens GMail online?

The only way a message can appear in your TB Inbox is for a message to come in for you to your TB address. If Gmail handles your mail, and TB is a front-end client on your machine, when a message appears in your TB Inbox. it must also be in your GMail Inbox label. If you click Inbox in the folders panel in TB, there should be a spinner for a moment, and then your local Inbox and the online GMail Inbox will be synced.

When you send a message from TB to anyone, and GMail is handling your mail, then that message will appear in GMail online's Sent label (folder). (BTW, I'd go into Settings and Hide that All Mail label. It's worse than useless; it's a mess.)

1. I did not reply to your Gmail account. I do not know your email address. When you read my reply above, you were not using Gmail, and my reply above can’t be in your Gmail Inbox or in your Thunderbird Inbox. You may have received a message from this forum that told you that there was a reply to you on the forum, and that message should be in your Gmail Inbox and in your Thunderbird Inbox. When you are reading this message, you are not in Gmail or in Thunderbird. You are just reading this forum message in Edge.

2. You can open your Gmail account by using Edge. But those are distinct programs. Edge does not receive or send email. Gmail does not read messages on this forum, and Gmail cannot browse the web. You cannot send a message from Edge. If you send a message from Gmail, a copy of that message can appear in your Thunderbird, but not in the Inbox (unless you have your Gmail settings set to send a copy of any outgoing message to your email address, and then that message might appear in your Gmail Sent folder and in your Thunderbird Inbox, I guess).
