Hi folks
With the large size memories of mobile phones these days I wonder if people have thought of using these also for backup of some data -- e.g a windows vhdx file or even some OS iso's.
Most computers can readily automatically recognize a mobile phone just by a USB connection so no 3rd party software needed which would complicate things for this project.
Going further I wonder if it's possible to create a "vdisk" on a phone so that you could boot an OS (Windows) from it on to your computer. Linux from a live distro iso image works . I don't know about iPhones though.
It should be theoretically possible since Android is essentially a Linux system with a modified kernel. It's a pity phones these days don't have a micro SD card in them ny more -- because that would make the problem easier.
Maybe this whole thing is bonkers but it's something to play with when there's not much new in windows releases.
Cheers
