Solved Battlefield 2042 Game Won't Launch

Hello There

Decided i'd maybe reinstall Office 365 Microsoft Defender for Inviduals yesterday, Windows Store kept refusing to download it, so dumbo me tried the Removal of MS Store and Reinstall of MS Windows Store in Windows 11 Pro 22621.1702--it did not work, so for a bit there i had no MS Store. So decided i know i'll create a new user account, and should be fine.

Well Now Battlefield 2042 refusing to launch

A. Should i for the first time ever Restore Macrium Reflect Full Image Taken on 5/12/2023
B. Remove the Graphic drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller, and reinstall those drivers and hope it launches?
C. Or another Full Clean Install

I know i'm an stupid at times, Would i Restore via Macrium Reflect boot drive C NvMe, Then Game SSD, and Then Storage Drive? would that be fastest way of fixing it fully? Do i Restore all those drives at once? or seperately

Given all those app uninstalls and reinstalls and whatnot, you should at least remove and reinstall the game and see how that goes. But if your apps start misbehaving you might look into a Repair Install.

That said, If you have a Macrium image you might try that first.

At least Remove Video Drivers and try doing a clean install of those? and hope the game launches fine after that? System file checker shows no integrity issues

Then if not, then i guess attempt Restore of NvMe System Image (Full one), Game SSD, and Storage Drive if needed?

I've done complete removal of the game, and reinstall, and no change--popped up the mini game window that shows before the game usually launches, then just crashed to Desktop.

Every other game seems to be working fine, except this one

Just Never done a restore in the past lol, but i guess i can figure it out with the boot usb, and hopefully it goes well lol

I would try the Repair Install before a clean install as this doesn't require the OP to reinstall their apps and programs.

And yes, checking for updated GPU drivers might help, but with all the finagling with the OS, it still may be better to do a repair install.

Yeah it might be better to do a Repair install, then leave alone and don't fiddle with things, and just leave MS Defender for Indivduals app alone

Tackles a Repair install as soon as possible probably best way to go, then redo the System images once system in proper condition probably gonna be best possibly....

Anything i should know on a Repair Install?

Then i am definitely stop fiddling with things, just leave Standard Windows security working, Malwarebytes Premium, and just standard Apps/Games, and such

Looking back on things now, i should've just done a Repair Install last night, and not even messed with other fixes

Backing up to another external currently Documents Folder & Downloads, and Music Folder, then preparing for the Repair Install immediately after--and hopefully all is perfect after that

Yes, click on the link I provided and read it

The biggest thing is you won't have to reinstall your personal files and programs. You can also do the repair from within Windows.

Solved!! Restored Maricum Reflect Full Images of C NvMe SSD and Game SSD! After it was finished, Restarted into Windows 11 Pro, let it all load up

Opened EA Games App, Started the Game--and Loaded up for first time perfectly since day before yesterday!!

Now not gonna tinker anymore, only gonna install good software, and Windows Updates, and leave Defender for Individuals app that comes with MS Office 365 alone

First Ever Restore was a success!!!
