I also enlisted in and served 3 years in the US Army. That doesn't mean I'm going to hate everything that comes out of Russia, Vietnam, Germany, Japan, Italy or England - all of which have been US enemies at one time or the other. There are many skilled reverse engineers working for government, how is that none of them was able to detect malicious activity done by Kaspersky AV?
I'm sure they would ring on all the bells if they did to damage their reputation don't you think?

If Kaspersky is now a bad actor, we may not know yet. That malicious acts have not been detected is not proof that his software has not planted malware on your computer that is binding it's time. In my sole opinion, I think it is reckless to trust any Russian software.

Just because somebody is ideologically different than you doesn't mean they're doing bad things, in fact that person might not be interested in politics at all, that's why looking at things from political perspective is wrong and childish.
What you're doing is called "generalization", that is you generalize some software as bad only because it's made by person from ideologically different country.

7-zip is also Russian software btw. made by some individual, therefore according to you 7-zip is controlled by Putin for his spying activities which sounds as silly as your claims so far.

The only difference is that's Kaspersky is a rich company while the other one is made by individual for non-profit, yet ironically more users use 7-zip than Kaspersky AV, therefore if Putin is using them to spy on people he should use 7-zip rather than Kaspersky to cover more people, according to your logic.
Do you see how silly this reasoning is?
