If I reset the bios to default will it be the same as the way the pc came from the factory?

No, not necessarily. Why are you thinking about resetting the bios?

Before you do, take a photo of each page and any sub menus.

I agree but the answer is slightly more subtle - it will reset to default state of the latest bios update i.e. if bios has been updated, it will not necessarily revert to original factory state e.g. if new features added, defaults changed etc.

Also what was set at the factory might not be what was configured for the particular PC configuration before shipping...it could be very different from defaults

The other day we spent quite a while talking about the one in his specs, and found out he was asking about the other.

So this time... I thought I'd ask first. :-)



I'l say this. IF we are talking about the one in the OP's specs... all he has to do is go to the Tools section (or whatever MSI calls it), and "save" the current BIOS setting to a Profile.

THEN, he can reset the BIOS to defaults and if that's no good, he can just load the BIOS Profile again.

The miniPC "may" also have a place to save BIOS Profiles, but w/o the motherboard manual... I can't tell for sure.

Either way... that's what should be done, before resetting the BIOS to defaults.
