Solved BitLocker for W11 Home?

The following quote from the link below suggests that BitLocker is now available for W11 Home, but I could not find how to turn on BitLocker on my laptop. Or is my interpretation of the quote/link wrong, and the Pro version is still required to get BitLocker?

"With Windows 11 and Windows 10, Microsoft offers BitLocker Device Encryption support on a much broader range of devices, including those that are Modern Standby, and devices that run Windows 10 Home edition or Windows 11."

You can encrpyt drives with Home if pc has TPM but it is a sort of all or nothing version of Bitlocker with no flexibility. Full Bitlocker can be used on any PC with Pro, even if no TPM.

With Windows Home it has to have Modern Sandby for Device Encryption to be enabled. Bitlocker is for Pro only. That's my understanding.

Thanks for the replies! I ran the 'System Info' as administrator and under 'Device Encryption Support' is:

'Reasons for failed automatic device encryption: Hardware Security Test Interface failed and device is not Modern Standby, Un-allowed DMA capable bus/device(s) detected'

Not really an issue as I do nothing serious on the laptop, I was just curious.

I wrote an article about using the real Bitlocker on Windows 10 Home and although I didn't care to test, I expect that method to work on Win11, too. It's perfectly legal, but it requires a TPM.

You have backups, haven't you? There's no magic to Bitlocker, it wasn't changed in Win11. But I can try it out in a Win11 home VM soon if you don't dare.

I do.. don't know about the others. But it would be nice if you tested out your method on 11 before posting about it.
