There is a unlocked lock by each drive in This pc? It wasn't there before. There is also unlocked locks in Macrium Reflect X. Macrium also gave a security warning about bit locker being unlocked. Anyone else run across that warning? Thanks!

With bitlocker, if you are booted into windows, the drives WILL be unlocked. click on start, type in bitlocker, choose the control panel option for Manage Bitlocker and will tell you whether Bitlocker is on or off.

If you are paranoid about other people taking the data on the dead/alive drives, yes, Bitlocker is helpful. While turned on, it may make things more complicated on system-type updates, mostly from non-Microsoft sources, but sometimes even from Microsoft. You absolutely need to keep the recovery keys (usually on your Microsoft account, unless you set up for a local account) safe and reliably accessible. It may also make system restore more complicated, depending on the software you use.
