Blank address bar and buttons in windows explorer

I just clean installed 23H2 build 22631.2428 in VMware; nothing extra is installed except for VMware Tools. Here is a video of the issue:


It seems to be random. Sometimes it goes away only to return shorty after, or stays that way until I reset explorer in task manager.

EDIT: It also sometimes happens to the context menu, where it becomes blank.

Might try another update, latest Build is 22631.2715.

Updated to 2715 and it still happens. Guess I won't switch from windows 10 after all, unless this only happens in VMware.

never seen that on a physical build before. rebuild that vm from ground up and see if it still happens. explorer seems corrupted

It is from ground up, twice. I don't re-use old VMs for clean installs.

try it in oracle virtualbox. could be a vmware issue.

On my physical machine, I fixed a similar problem by uninstalling and deleting the software for the video driver then rebooting.
