Hello! I've been nibbling with my fresh Win11 Pro, set up all the necessary apps, drivers, settings, disabled unwanted services etc., but didn't notice in which moment the quick access arrow for Bluetooth settings stopped working. As soon as I click on it, it reacts as pushed, freezes for a 1-2 sec and closes the menu. Since I'm not so strong with reading the logs while running sfc and DISM scans (indicates corrupt files) and sadly no restore points are fixing it, maybe someone could help? After almost a week of tweaking everything to my liking, I wouldn't want to redo it all now. :-D
Tried reinstalling drivers, clearing cache and tinkering with bluetooth settings.

In that week of "tweaking " Did you install any 3rd party app that alters the GUI?
Perform a clean boot to eliminate software conflict causing the issue. If it doesn't happen in a clean boot, you have some software conflicting with Windows. You have to use process of elimination to find which one. Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 11 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts Tutorial

Only installed programs were zoicwareOS (not really installed, just ran for debloating) and Revo Uninstaller (Used to remove additional bloat and unnecessary programs) and Registry Cleaner (wasn't used), RAMMap, Wintoys (For additional access to 'locked' settings), HWMonitor and drivers. Apart from that, used this forums tutorials for cleaning up taskbar, start and quick access menus, and disabling unused/unnecessary services.

For services, went through Microsoft official homepage together with additional info from this forum and Black Vipers Windows 10 config, and disabled these additional services with a cmd .bat file - text version included in attached files.

To be honest, I don't quite remember if additional settings button worked before I started to edit the settings. 😅

It sounds like you've done a lot. I don't have a solution since I don't know what. If you made a system image before you started with the changes, you can restore it.

You might want to look at what services you messed with.
Bluetooth Audio gateway should be manual trigger start and running It has a dependency on Remote Procedure Call (RPC) RPC should be automatic and running.

Bluetooth Support Service should be Manual trigger start and running.

Bluetooth User Support Service should be manual trigger start and started.

Any tweaking app as well as direct regedits alters the registry. Some tweaks affect only the current user. Others affect all users. Others affect the system.

Only other thing I can think of to suggest is to create a new user account to test with. Make it an administrator. It can be a local account. If that brings back the functionality in its setting page, that proves the issue lies in your user account, not system wide. That be the case, while logged into YOUR user account. I suggest you copy all your user data to external media. Log out of your account and log in to new account. Then copy your files again from external media into a new user account. In this instance, only tweaks made that affected only your old user account will have to be re-done.

If the problems exists in another user account do a repair install. Know that this will undo any change/tweak you made that affects the system or all users.

Since the 'Tweaking situation' ended with complete OS reinstall, I think it is safe to close this post.
Thanks! :-)

Next time take notes when you change too many things. The correct approach is to change one thing at a time. Take a not, test your system for a while and then proceed to the next. So you know which one went wrong. Or at least you can see your notes and undo your changes and hope for the best.

Old school tip: To save you the trouble of taking a note, you can enable System Restore and create a restore point before each change. So you can go back to the appropriate restore point if something goes wrong. This is the standard method since Windows XP.

I totally do what @spapakons suggested in keeping notes, but have learned not to 100% rely on system restore points. They have failed me too many times. Before I mess with anything where I'm not sure of the results, I create an image so at least I can safely get back to the beginning.

Form my own experience, the last restore point has a great chance to fail, so I usually choose the previous to last point to go back to. This works 95% of the time and has saved me from trouble.

Prior to System Restore, in Windows 95 and Windows 98 there was a small MS-DOS utility SCANREG that could read current Windows Registry and restore it to an earlier state. Windows would automatically backup the Registry before a major change, such as a driver installation or an application installation, and if Windows would be damaged and could not load, we used SCANREG to restore an older version that worked. In Windows ME and later this utility was removed and replaced by System Restore. I didn't like System Restore, I didn't trust it. However, after I restored my computer a couple of times and saved me from doing a clean installation of Windows, I started to appreciate it. Like I said, it is not very reliable, the last restore point has 50% chance to fail or 99% chance according to Murphy's Law, so I always choose the previous to last, if available. Otherwise I choose the last one and hope for the best. System Restore is not Panacea, it is much better to have a full disk backup to restore to in case of a disaster.
