Quick access menu not updating automatically

Adding or removing item from the "Quick access" menu in file explorer doesn't update the menu until I stop & restart file explorer. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Windows version 26200.8177.

Microsoft hasn’t listed this exact Quick Access refresh problem in the “Known Issues” for build 26200.8177, but they are aware of this class of File Explorer bugs that have appeared in multiple Insider and Canary build notes over the past year.
It’s most likely part of the same ongoing Explorer refresh problems they’ve been tracking and fixing.
MS is dealing with a lot of varied file explorer related issues right now.

I'm on the same build and would check mine but I have "recent files/folders" turned off. Maybe someone else here can check theirs for you.
Also, this Tuesday is update Tuesday. Maybe it will fix your problem.

Thanks for the reply. It happens on both my desktop & laptop, which get used differently, so, as you point out, likely something with MS. Frustrating.

I am also encountering this issue accross 4+ computers 25H2 Build 26200.8246. This is very annoying as I/we use quick access extensively

update - installed the most recent windows update whatever thing

no change

windows is so bad these days

if adobe ever puts photoshop and acrobat pro on linux I'm gone

Bumping this to update that the problem still persists. Microsoft still has a long way to go to make a functioning W11 Explorer.
