BT webmail sync issues

I have BT email and if I create a new folder via webmail then it doesn't sync with Outlook365
However, if I create a new folder via Outlook365 then it does sync with webmail
I have checked server settings and all appears to be correct (mail.btinternet.com, 993/465
I have always struggled with sync issues which I believe to be related to renaming folders in Outlook365
I am now wondering if it is all related?
