Yeah - this is especially true if you have an optane memory drive.Not all nvme drives use the same driver, though I would not have expected that it would need anything special besides the Microsoft standard nvme driver. You could try making the building the rescue media from the laptop in question just to see. After all, you will need a workable rescue media if you ever have to restore it.
