Whilst transferring photos from our digital camera ( Nikon D3200 ) the battery went flat. Now I get this error whenever I plug it into any USB port It is not the USB at fault as I can plug any other device in and it works fine. I have re-installed the USB drivers and turned off USB Suspend and still the camera gives this error.

Not sure,.. I've never had my battery run out when I was transferring pics.

It could be the drive in the camera is corrupted and you may lose all of the pics on it.

Did you recharge the camera before plugging it in?

I hope all your files are safe. Doesn't the camera charge when connected to the computer?

I plugged the camera into the other PC fault still there.
I plugged the SD card into a card reader and transferred the files.
New card in camera.
I rebooted the PC after uninstalling the drivers.
I wonder now if it is a Camera firmware corruption or something similar

I hope all your files are safe. Doesn't the camera charge when connected to the computer?
Pics are fine, no it takes a special battery charger

Do you have another system (laptop or something) to test and see if it's working on a different computer? That would probably let you know if it's the camera at least.

EDIT: Wait, I see you plugged it into another PC. Sorry I missed that.

I plugged the camera into the other PC fault still there.
I plugged the SD card into a card reader and transferred the files.
New card in camera.
I rebooted the PC after uninstalling the drivers.
I wonder now if it is a Camera firmware corruption or something similar
It appears to be some problem with your camera only. If you have your camera manual, you should take a look into it.

One option to try is to do a full camera power-on - power-off - power-on cycle...
