can i use macrium reflect 8 windows 11 system image on windows 10

i intend to downgrade to a modded version of windows 10. however id like to know if its possible to use a full system image from windows 11 so i can fully restore, and if not, how should i do it?

Yes.

You'd do it just as you would any other system image backup or restore using your third-party system imaging utility.
You did not say which system imaging utility you use. As long as it is not the old deprecated MS one then you should be fine.

You'l then end up with whatever windows 11 version is in that image NOT your desired modded 10

No. You can’t use an image of an 11 system to “restore” to 10.

i meant restore from said modded 10 back to 11, sorry for the confusion

and windows system image works fine.

If the image is of Win 11... and you restore that image to the modded Win 10 install... it will work.
You'll end up with Windows 11.
