Can ping 8.8.8.8 but cannot browse

I'm showing connected to wifi but I cannot browse any web pages, (chrome or other browsers). didn't use the machine for a few weeks and then issue suddenly happened. I don't have an ethernet port. I've tried different routers and other machines work fine

I've done the following already:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat –r
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset

Change from 8.8.8.8 to your ISP temporarily and see if it fixes it. I've seen this happen occasionally with Google, OpenDNS, etc. basically all of them, where they will fail.

I use CloudFlare now, and use Google as the secondary, so if CF dies arbitrarily, then it falls back to Google. Might try something similar, if you want Google to be primary, maybe pick something like CF, or OpenDNS, as the secondary, if this happens more often than you'd like.

Thanks for the ip, but didn't solve the issue. Is there a way to trouble shoot my nic? like I said in the op, I think i've done all of the standard network troubleshooting/resetting. Any other ideas?

I don't understand pc networks enough, but I feel like there should be a flow/structure and I should be able to step through to find the broken link.

What is your DNS set to? Is it set to 8.8.8.8?

I would say that the problem was with the router but you said you tried another one. I had a similar problem a couple of days ago. All of my devices couldn't access the internet even though they all showed that the Wi-Fi was connected. I tried pressing the reset on the router twice but I still couldn't get internet access. I fixed my problem by unplugging the router for about 30 seconds.
