Cannot Access Sites for Xbox or WhatsApp support following clean install

I recently did a clean install of W11 Pro having had a system crash (with very good help from your colleagues) on the other section of the forum.

Prior to that and even since the clean install I am plagued by sites being timed out. These include Xbox and WhatsApp support sites which I need as I need help in getting them reinstalled. I do not recall this happening until fairly recently, perhaps 2-3 months.

I have looked at a couple of YouTube videos giving details of changes that need to be made to fix this but they have not worked.

Although my immediate priority is XBOX as I have games (Microsoft FS 2020/Aerofly for example) in my library and I cannot access the Library I would like to resolve the problem
as it it happening with annoying frequency

I have also change the following subkey in Windows:

What is the error message you see when time out happens?

Try different DNS servers like google DNS servers.

I have changed my DNS to Google and connections seem great, so simple a fix.

My outstanding issue at the moment is that my desktop PC is not being detected only my laptop so I can't go forward with xbox issue

What not detecting desktop PC?

At the moment my laptop is being detected but not not my desktop PC as the desktop PC was used originally with XBOX/Microsoft Store this is a problem. I don't now how to remove the laptop or at least make the desktop the primary device.

You can remove registered devices from Microsoft account.

Both XBOX and STEAM report not being connected to the Internet since I did the clean install.

Both have access through Windows Firewall.

I am connected with an ethernet cable

Sorry to follow up but things are not working the way I had hoped.

At the moment both XBOX and STEAM keeping saying I am not connected to the Internet, when I am. It means I haven't got access to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or Aerofly FS as nothing shows in my library

As I did a clean install of W11 I assumed that everything would work as it did when I first got my PC but that was a previous OS (W10 Home as far as I recall) but that clearly isn't he case. The whole install process is automatic so I shouldn't have touched any wrong buttons etc. Makes me wonder what my hardware etc. is doing to cause the problem.

There are a couple of other quirky things such as windows that you have to input an answer that don't accept any keyboard presses.

I have wondered if I should consider doing a clean install again and see if that helps but my concern is that maybe it ends up the same or worse. I have also contemplated buying a fresh M2 SSD as that won't have any baggage!
