As others have said you have some serious corruption of Windows. I would try to repair Windows with an in-place repair.
There’s a tutorial on the forum. You would download the media creation tool run it & choose to install Windows. There may even be that option under Windows reset now.

Your earlier attempts to re-register the app also met with illogical failure messages.
That's why I suggested that you have a Windows fault that is perverting your use of PowerShell.
And that, when coupled with your earlier report that you had run a Repair install procedure, leads me to conclude that you need to reinstall Windows.

And, in preparation, if possible
- Make a system image of the current state of the computer

I managed to run the Windows store install as per Bastet. It shows in the menu but wont open. Windows store trouble shooter cant repair it so I'll carry on without it. Try3 I'm happy I have a working PC rather than go through the hours and hours of installing all the programmes I would need to reinstall.

The store install would work but as this has been tried & the store still won’t open you either would need to update to 22H2 (if Windows update has been blocked due to the problem with a certain update) & see if a fix for that update has been released or use the PC without the store which means your installed store apps will be out of date. If you’re happy with this then that’s fine.

Just remembered a weird similar case! Because of incorrect access rights, neither the Microsoft Store or any Windows app could open. The cure was to go at C:\Program Files and then take ownership of the hidden WindowsApps folder, the subfolders and all files. Then I would grant FULL access to the Administrators group and my user account, again to the folder, subfolders and all files. This should fix your issue and let you open Windows Store. If it still doesn't work try reinstalling the Store. If that succeeds, try to re-register all applications, just in case.

Much internet research later, I stumbled onto the one possible solution which DID FIX THE PROBLEM for me:

Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections tab -> LAN settings button ->

==> be sure that "automatically detect settings" IS CHECKED!!

Somehow, this was not checked for me. Don't know when or how or why that happened. But immediately after CHECKING this option, sure enough I was now able to successfully launch and connect to Microsoft Store.

Interestingly, I had also been having no success logging into my Microsoft account from Windows (I had instead been signing into Windows with a "local account" which still worked). But sure enough once CHECKING this option immediately I was now successfully able to log into Windows through my Microsoft account.

uninstall the store with revo uninstaller. remove leftovers. reboot. download this store package and reinstall it. reboot.

(scroll down for "Update the Store Manually" section and the link is there - i've used it many times with no issues on PCs.... but you will prob have to update a few revisions once its installed and running)

Weird solution. Back in Window XP I would uncheck this box to make sure Internet Explorer loses no time trying to find out network settings, but always use the default settings. Whatever works.
