Win 11
Hi,
I have a new Dell computer, 3 months ago, I updated to Win 11.
I tried to download an app and I got pop-up that I have no premition to do it.
I tried to change the setting of my account but somehow I'm not the admin of my own computer.
I tried through cmd Net user administrator active:yes but I got a massage of "access is denied".
Do I need to reinstall windows?

....somehow I'm not the admin of my own computer. ... Do I need to reinstall windows?
Welcome to Eleven Forum.

The first screenshot of yours would normally have a Yes button as well as the No button if the account you signed in with was an administrator, and a box to type the name and password of another administrator account if you are signed in as a standard user.

Yours has neither, this means that there are no active administrator accounts on your PC. The second screenshot shows the status of the built-in Administrator account. Note that is says 'Active: No'. This is normal, the built-in Administrator is disable by default when Windows is installed.

Normally the first account created would be made an administrator, but yours appears to have been changed to a standard user. Sometimes users do that themselves, thinking it will make their web browsing safer. While it is true that a standard user account can be safer, it is vital to keep at least one administrator account on the PC for administering it.

No, you will not need to reinstall Windows. @Try3 has a tutorial on Ten Forums that explains how to recover from this situation. It is equally applicable to Windows 11.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022.

unsupported machine: Legacy bios, MBR, TPM 1.2, upgraded from W10 to W11 using W10/W11 hybrid install media workaround. In-place upgrade to 22H2 using ISO and a workaround.
