Certainly Never Seen This Before-Computer Not Playing 'Shorts' Videos On Youtube or Tik Tok?

Hi guys,

My mother and I both own HP Laptops with the same build it looks like. The problem is with my mother's laptop. Everything works like a dream except for YT video shorts and TikTok shorts. Regular videos load and play just fine. Whenever she clicks to watch these shorts it goes all wacky loading the video then it stops loading. It won't play the shorts at all. I tried viewing shorts on my pc and have no issues so I ran a virus scan with Bitdefender on hers and it detected nothing. I then tried ADW Cleaner, Norton Power Eraser and finally MBAM but no detections.

I ran diagnostics, checked for updates and still no luck. I have no idea what is causing these problems with 'shorts' videos. What would cause her computer to not be able to run 'shorts' videos on both YT and Tiktok? I can't think of anything that would cause that to happen. We do use wifi.

Yes to both. There seems to be no problem watching her 'shorts' videos on Microsoft Edge. Not sure why.

You didn’t mention that you cleaned Chrome out or whatever browsers you’re using. Delete all cookies, clear history etc.
Sometimes it can be as easy as that, others not.
