Change File Format in Libre Office

I'm using libre office and I mistakenly saved a document to my desktop in JPEG format (libre office draw).
Does anyone know how I can change this existing document to .odt so Libre Office Writer can open it?

I didn't think you could save a text document as a jpeg photo using Libre Office. There is no option to do this in the Libre Office 'Writer' or 'Draw' modules that I use and they are the latest version 24.2.3.2.

However you managed to do this is not the issue so, if the amount of text in the jpeg photo isn't a lot then consider retyping it from scratch in a new 'Writer' document (copying it from the photo).
Alternatively, there is nothing to stop you inserting the photo into a new 'Writer' document. The photo part itself won't be editable but you can then carry on adding text below the inserted photo.

Alternatively you could use a 'Screenshot OCR Reader' to retrieve the text.
There are several packages in the field, freeware apps, free online services and paid apps.
As I am using a 'paid' package 'Abby Screenshot OCR Reader' that belonged to my scanner software I have no experience with other packages.

Mine functions really very well (although more than 10 years old), I use it very often, for instance to copy text from protected pdf-files or sites.

The freeware apps I have seen seem to have some restrictions...
