Change name of PC not working

Windows 11 Pro
I have changed the name of my computer, using letters and hyphen.
Have restarted several times.
It shows new name in System >About and device specifications.
When I power up, the speaker gives the old name.

Is this a Bluetooth device? It’s going to remember the PC by its originally pairing name. A hostname change won’t be reflected. You would have to unpair & re-pair the PC to see a different name.

We use Alexa as a speaker. When I open the computer, she says ‘now connected to…( name of PC she connects to). She is still saying the old name.

I don't do that, but Copilot claims that the name Alexa uses is in its Amazon account, rather than the name in Windows.

You'd need to change it there.
