I am trying to change where new content is saved. I know to go here:

BUT nione of the frop-down boxes allow me to do anything, it's as though they're locked. Any ideas?

As far as I know there will only be options if you have multiple drives or partitions attached which are identified by letter. e.g. C:, D:, E:, etc. so if you only have a C: Drive/Partition there will be no other options to select from.

Your description of your intent is a bit vague. I have a feeling it involves your personal folders defaulting to onedrive.
Just to clarify, are you trying to stop your files from going to onedrive and have them stored on your computer Instead?

If that is the case you have to change the location of your default folders. Please describe what you are trying to accomplish and report back.

Save as give option to save where ever you want to
Browser as well for downloads just set it to ask every time.

Trying to go through that nonsense list in 11 is silly use save as and be done with it the last place you saved will likely be the first suggestion offered again.

@ThrashZone, I can't be sure, but I think the OP is a victim of MS's new policy of making onedrive the default location for personal files (except downloads) unless the user chooses differently during oobe.It's a very easy option for a user to miss during oobe setup. If they don't make a choice, then onedrive it is.

Just storage spaces renamed which nobody uses playing by file types for places to auto loose files for you :boom:
