I was looking at this video of Windows 3.11 starting up and noted in the comments someone had changed their startup sound to Windows 95 Startup Sound.

There is a tutorial below to show you how to change the startup sound.

I found the Windows 95 startup sound and replaced it as per the instructions above.. Hahahaha , a bit of nostalgia coming my way !!!

I can't get this to work as my "Play Windows Startup Sound is greyed out" -note the "Apply" button is greyed out as well.

I tried this tutorial (not the registry editor one yet) and the setting is already "Not Configured"

I can test the sound and hear the Windows 95 but it does not play at all on startup of my Windows 11

OK I fixed this with Winaero Tweaker, there is a setting there to change the startup sound
