Yesterday and today I was not able to log into the ChatGPT website. Is this the right forum for this issue?

I've been getting occasional login errors to chatgpt, too; not every time nor every day. But I don't use the website. I use the app from Windows app store.

I enter my userID (email address) and password, which are stored automatically in my password manager. Usually that works. Last evening (in the USA) and again this afternoon, my password was rejected. So I tried to do a password request. The website threw an "invalid request" reply. So I have tried again a bit later, but still no results.

This morning I was able to log into ChatGPT, no problems. By the way, for writing PowerShell scripts, ChatGPT5 is awesome.

I've had that with login before as well - very odd - had to change my password twice. What you could do is just use it without logging in :-) I sometimes do that and sometimes I actually prefer the "model" from the not logged in version.

I like to login, because ChatGPT saves a copy of all my sessions, so I can easily pick up an old session and post a follow on question or request. Very useful when you ask ChatGPT to write scripts. So far, none of the scripts have worked first time, so I have to post error messages. Or else, I want a change in a script.

I now use the GPT5 mode in Copilot which has no daily use limit if you login with your Microsoft account and also has a useful deep research mode

So copilot works with chat GPT now? I didn't know that. I thought they were separate AI models.

Microsoft has some of their own models, but they also use OpenAI models, GPT-4o, DALL-E, Codex, etc.

Chatgpt is often overloaded especially if you are using the free tier. I would chalk this up to that being the issue.

Yes, and there is a daily CGPT use limit for chats and creating images. Copilot appears to have no such issues.

I sometimes find when it says you've reached your limit (when not signed in) that it just carries on for a while anyway!

Amen to that. A few days ago, I couldn't log in to ChatGPT because it rejected my valid password.
