Is there a simple way to check how much page file space is being used?
This system has 20GB DDR4 RAM, and Windows managed page file is set at 3.2 GB.
The SSD is 128 GB, with 66 GB currently used.

Short of buying a larger SSD, I would like to monitor the page file to ascertain its maximum usage, with a view to reducing its size if necessary.

Thanks.

Well, with 20 GB RAM I doubt you ever need much of a pagefile unless using very RAM intensive apps.

If it is only 3GB, with Windows managing size, it sounds like it is not heavily used (or it would increase).

You could just manually set size and reduce it gradually but that does not help much as most you can gain is 3GB of disk storage.

You still have 62GB of free space but you should not overfill an SSD. Some conservatively say 70% which would mean you only have around 25 GB space before you meet 70%. This is an age old argument, and frankly I would just let drive fill up to say 85%.

You could put some temporary large files on drive to see if pagefile size increases.

Frankly, I would just buy a larger SSD when you get nearer drive capacity limits and not worry about size of page file,

Shouldn't 60 GB free be enough with nothing to be concerned about?

@cereberus
Good points. And yes, I decided to just get a larger (256GB) SSD and be done with it. Thanks.
