chkdsk always find errors and does not fix them

Hi,

When I run chkdsk c: /f and restart windows 11 , I see chkdsk alwayes display message that it fix system but if I repeat the process again it still display that it fix system error !! I run sfc /scannow no problem so is there a solution to fix the errors that chkdsk always find ?

Are you running chkdsk as Administrator? That's necessary.

If chkdsk as admin continuously finds errors (even though it fixes them), there is a good possibility your drive is beginning to fail. I would suggest you look at replacing it or, at the very least, keep a current full system backup from now on.

Thank you and sorry for late replay I was having other problems. I already tried Chkdsk C: /r 3 times and then Chkdsk C: /f /c but they are still display fixing...

I ran into this yesterday. I had a dirty shutdown and from then on every time I booted the system would tell me to press any key if I didn't want to run chkdsk. Everytime I was allowing it to run but it would never actually run. I finally pressed a key to tell it not to run chkdsk and then it stopped attempting to run chkdsk on startup. Weird issue.

you can remove it from autorun. I use this Autoruns for Windows - Windows Sysinternals
