Solved Classic Paint keyboard shortcuts don't work anymore

I downloaded classic paint on my new machine after having used it on my W10 (later upgraded to 11) laptop for many years, and for whatever reason, pressing CTRL+Y does absolutely nothing, and CTRL+A now shortcuts to open a file instead of selecting everything. This is very frustrating, I use this app to sketch and make pixel-art every once in a while and I don't really like modern paint, I've tried reinstalling it, downloading a software called Hotkey detective to check any possible shortcut changes and nothing, please help.

As a sidenote, other programs like the windows explorer also changed keyboard shortcuts, like CTRL+E being the select all shortcut instead of CTRL+A which was a pain to get used to.

Not on my PC it isn’t. Something sounds like it has a problem on your PC, all my shortcuts still do exactly what they’re supposed to. I can’t see Microsoft ever changing them.

This tells me how to change it? like, I don't really know what to change it to, I'm bilingual so I have two languages installed should I not do this?
I tried deleting them and adding them again but nothing changed.

As a suggestion, I would take the time to create a new local user account and see if the issue remains. This could be user profile related.

if CTRL+E is system wide for Select All now, something is being used to remap keys. do you run PowerToys?

also - what is the install region of your OS? this can impact default hotkeys...

yep. its the region. hotkeys vary by language E is used in a handful of them and has been since at least Win 7. change your OS Install Region to US. you can still set ES as your default keyboard layout.
