Hi my computer is taking to long to update to 25h2. i have downloaded the iso and want to install it as a fresh installation. Is it better to copy documents etc. format my hard disk, install at boot with rufus and then put the documents back OR start the installation from within windows 11 (24h2). is there as difference?

the quickest way would be to use the 25H2 ISO and upgrade your system
but if you have had any problems with your system then it would be better to clean install
using Rufus and the 25H2 ISO.

please back up your data and drivers
best of luck Steve ..

The quickest way from 24H2 to 25H2 is the enablement package.

Hello, thanks for the input, I used the enablement package as suggested by @pseymour. But I think I'm going to format and install the iso of 25h2 because I was attacked by a virus and it took out all of my pinned apps from the start menu (probably other stuff too) - doing it that way should clear and fix whatever the virus did.
