Only 4 here - wall clock in living room, wall clock in kitchen (neither of which anybody ever looks at), car clock - the fourth one is the dect phone but that's out of order right now. Never used to bother changing the time on that anyway as nobody looked at it for the time - landline rarely used as well.

Just being curious. What type of antifreeze is used in the concrete?

It varies, depending on the weather, the strength of the mix, the size of the project, etc.
I think we use about six different calcium or non-chloride accelerators, added in various volumes and strengths.
Plus, in cold weather, the water is heated to counter the outdoor temperature.
And, of course, in brutal weather, the contractor will cover the project with insulated tarps.

I was curious because I have worked with people that use to worked in concrete. This was in the seventies but they never said if it was the same anti freeze used in cars or if it was a more environmental friendly mix,

It's a very specialized admixture, I have no clue of the chemical makeup, but, it's potent!
Basically, the chemicals, combined with the hot water, accelerate the concrete mix to very close to the final set stage before the outdoor temperature can make it go dormant. The larger or thicker the slab, the more heat it will generate within itself.
To keep the chill off any surfaces is up to the contractor to tarp it over.

its 2 am not 1 am. I wonder why this is still in force. It started in WW2 to help farmers. I see no need for it at all and it should be scrapped.

I wish they would just get rid of the whole damn clock change thing. Yeah, not as bad when you gain an hour but when you have to move them forward, that's rough.

I have about 6 clocks that need to be manually changed, mostly kitchen appliances & a couple old clocks around the house.

Interesting fact I read some time ago: The reason the clock change happens after Halloween was due to intense lobbying by the candy industry. They wanted kids to be out longer trick or treating resulting in more candy sales. So they lobbied congress heavily & that's why the change always happens in the USA after Halloween.

Like I said, the candy industry lobbied congress to do it after Halloween so they could get more candy sales with kids being out longer at night.
