I read here yesterday that MS has applied the multi-monitor clock and date to a insider preview. Can't seem to find where I read that. If so when do you think it would be on the WU for those not on the insider preview?

So far, yes.
But it will arrive (sooner rather than later) for the rest of us.

The only thing that could stop it would be customer (insiders), complaints, and that's not gonna happen.
It was customer complaints that made MS add the functionality in the first place. :)




If you absolutely can't wait for Microsoft, there is a work-around...

Im still using the Elevenclock thing that everyones been using for months which is fine i guess i just hate startup crap xD
Ive been through every setting/option i can think of unless im being the most stupid person on the planet today for some reason and missed something obvious xD

I don't want to add the Elevenclock app just yet. So far in Windows 11 I have only added things I use for years. I haven't selected a theme yet. Just going with the Windows 11 image for background and changed the accent colors for borders to have it stand out a bit. Maybe after a few more updates I will get into personalizing a bit more.

Oh i know how to add programs to start when windows boots xD, Its more the point i hate things booting up upon launch on windows, Id be in a fair spot of bother if i didn't know how to add/remove programs from startup xD, Aint my first day using a PC thankfully!
Elevenclock will do for now but hopefully at somepoint itll boot up without a third party app launching from boot.

Well yeah. It would be nice if MS got their act together a bit faster.
This clock thing is just another victim of Microsoft's desire to make Windows 11 run on a smart phone.
Anything that's helpful on large or multiple screens... MS has pretty much removed.

I mean there's no need (in their minds) for things like multiple screens, or single page menus.

One day, we'll all have large, flexible screens that we can crumple up and stick in our pockets.
But until then, I think MS should consider "adding" things useful for very small, single screens, but not "removing" things for large and multiple screens.

We can have... both. LOL

@Ghot Yes a lot of the tweaks would be nice. I changed the 'other options in file explorer to show all. that was annoying. Also I do see the option in the release version to move the taskbar icons to the left like Windows 10. At least that is good if I decide to do that. Right now I am just trying to adjust to the start button in the center lol.

Yeah, that was the 1st thing I did. Move the Start menu to the left. The Taskbar icons came with.
In those guides I linked, it's called "Move the Taskbar to the left".
