windows 11 pro
Just got my Dell Latitude 3310 laptop on Thursday evening, as for my severe weather chase team, and ham radio activities I needed a windows laptop, I switched to Mac shortly after WIndows Vista was released and still am a mainly Apple user, and never thought I would be at all impressed with any version of Microsoft WIndows after the hot mess of Vista. After using this laptop for a day and a half.... so far I am actually impressed with how well Windows 11 pro actually works. When I got the laptop it had version 21h2 installed, and while using it, it wanted to update to version 22h2.... I fully expected it to act stupid and try to force me to allow it to install the update when it was downloaded, interfering with what I was doing, but surprisingly it let me know it was finished downloading the update and asked to schedule the restart to install it. Then I expected a major headache with the actual install process, and issues after the update and once again, very impressed that it installed with no issues and did it very quickly, and then when went back to using it in the evening, that it just worked. Have not used it enough to be completely sure, but I think that maybe Microsoft got their act together and actually made a operating system that just works for a change. So far I am quite pleased with WIndows 11 pro.

About 10 years ago i had all windows computers a guy talked me into buying a Mac Book also to see what i was missing, well i hated it from the start and never got used to how it "did' not work.
well long story shortened it had a hardware failure, i removed the HD and battery and threw the rest in the trash, and just kept on with windows computers like my new MSI Stealth 16 Studio A13v and my over 10 year old ASSUS G73SW and it is still working it's my backup system.

I ended up with 3 clients that had Macs some years ago so I got a MacBook Pro with OS X mid-2010 and it worked fine but when macOS first came out it tried to do an upgrade but ended up with the drive controller failing. It was not worth fixing and my Mac clients have gone on so no need to get another. Like mentioned, I salvaged the drive and RAM to use in upgrading other machines, used GPARTED to wipe the drive and make available to the next OS. I did the same with an old iMac that had a cracked screen, salvaged the drive and RAM.
