I have enabled Developer Options on my smartphone, I have explicitly set MTP (transfer images and data) for USB, but every single time I connect it to my PC it is on "charging only" and I have to manually switch to MTP. This is annoying. Probably you have to do the same, every time you connect your phone you have to swipe from top to bottom, click on the message regarding USB and switch to MTP. That's why I don't like non-Microsoft OSes, they have completely different logic than Windows. Pity Windows Phone did not support many devices and many games/apps and was deprecated. If Microsoft allowed any manufacturer to adopt Windows Phone and had many more games/apps in Microsoft Store, they might even have higher user base than Android. "Mistakes cost money", as we say in Greek. I believe in Windows Phone all models would support OTG (USB storage devices), Miracast (wireless screen sharing) and MLP (connecting to TV via HDMI) as standard, while on Android all these are optional. Cheap smartphones and tablets support none, mid-range support only OTG or OTG and Miracast and only the more expensive models support them all. Totally unfair! I dare any Manufacturer release a Windows laptop without HDMI or at least USB Type-C with monitor support and without Miracast! It it sell very few units, if at all and almost everywhere it will receive a very low preview score. Cheap shouldn't mean crap!
