Solved Context menu text size

I have noticed an unusual quirk with the context menu. The text is as expected when I right click on any item, but when I click on 'Show more options' the following menu the text has halved in size.

I have scaling at 175% for my 4K monitor but adjusting the scaling makes no difference to the text size on the more options option, only the first right click. Is this the same for everyone with Windows 11?

Text scaling affects Windows and every app running on it.

The text size should be the default.

If its too small, a reset rather than zoom will usually work.

OK, after a little play, I hadn't realized that I'd adjusted the text size under Accessibility. I dropped that down to the lowest size and the text is now both the same on both context menus. I'll mark as solved. Silly me

Certain areas of windows natively have much smaller fonts than others and the font size is hard coded...control panel, run, regedit, context menus, etc. Increasing scale helps, but the fonts in these areas will never be the same size as fonts elsewhere and there's no way to make them so.

I have bad eyes and have messed around with this in depth.
What I did was first set my scale to what was most appropriate for my monitor size. This is your starting point.
I found what made these areas with the smaller fonts more visible to me was to change the system font. I then chose a font that was crisper on the screen than the default segoe font and made it my system font. Some eyes can read fonts with a more spread out appearance. Some eyes read tighter fonts better. The font that is best for one set of eyes might not be best for another . You can see examples of the fonts installed on your system by going to control panel>fonts OR other fonts can be installed.

Note: if you need reg files for setting different fonts as your deault, I have regedit files for about 10 of the most commonly used. Let me know what font you want to use and I will share.

I continued to tweak even further until I finally got most everything exactly right for me. The key to remember is to start with scale and a chosen system font. Then work from there gradually, a little adjustment at a time.

Note: you have to change these settings again if you ever update your graphics driver or unplug your graphics card

I took it one step further. You know those pale yellow folder icons in file explorer and regedit that one can't see? With help from a fellow member @Ghot I changed them to blue and solved that. If interested I can tell you how to do that. I also changed the spacing of file explorer so that its not so tight. Another big improvement.

Now I'm a happy camper but it did take a lot of trial and error to get there.
