Copilot a bit slow - photoshop better

Copilot really isn't that good, or quick at generating images. I asked it to do one and it got stuck. Kept saying wait a few minutes. So asked photoshop to do the same thing and it gave me three choices in seconds. The copilot one never did finish. So I said Hello? It said hello back and what could it do for me. I said I wondered what happened to my image. It made a joke but didn't know what I was talking about. I just had to start again basically. And the photoshop one was better.

After a shot while, if it hasn’t finished, press the browser refresh button in the address bar.
Do the same if CoPilot only renders half of the pictures.

I’m finding that Adobe subsctiptions are getting a little out of hand. Sure I make money from it, still — Creative Cloud Pro, billed monthly is US$104/mo In Aussie $$ it’s costing me AU$160 a month.

It certainly is. I bought Photoshop last year for a project after shopping around and getting a good deal on Amazon. Not sure if I want to pay to renew it though! I think they've stopped the photography plan now with coupons - renewal only. I guess that's why it's faster - it costs money.

I am paying about AU$1920 per year (£930). I don't like that I can not add my own apps. At least I have never found that option.

A one off annual cost. But I don't want to pay full price renewal - it's gone up - and is now about £250 a year (doubled in price I think).

Actually, maybe they've changed the rules again. I just looked in my account and there's an option to redeem a code until November this year now - that option was supposed to have ended earlier this year. Off to see if I can find a code ...........

Correct, sorry. I was looking at the Creative Cloud Photography plan @ £930 per year.

Photography Plan is about £268 per year

Nope don't think there are any codes for lower prices now. If I do my project a bit earlier this year I can get it done before my subscription runs out.

Alternatively, you could pay for a month or two, but it would still be expensive.

That was from Amazon. The discounted codes don't seem to exist any more. Should have checked that out on Amazon Prime day but too late now. Apparently I can renew for £119 a year but don't want to pay that. It's a lot of money for something I only use once or twice a year for certain things.

Have you used an alternative to Photoshop like Paint.net? I don't think it has the AI features, but it seems to be commensurate with Photoshop in all other areas.

I'd have to be honest though, I've never been comfortable with AI images. I think it's the old artist in me.
I have never once used any options in Firefly. I believe I have created 2 images in CoPilot for some stupid posts I made here.

Not really, Hazel. I’ve been using photoshop for decades, first found it on a CD that came with a Magazine in the mid 90’s and I believe it was Photoshop 4. I also got Photoshop 6 the same way. I believe I still have the CD’s somewhere, being a hoarder and all.

If you use Photoshop a lot, then I can see having a subscription. For Hazel, though, who only uses it a couple of times a year, a free or less expensive alternative that can do the same thing might be worth investigating.
