CoPilot in Outlook 2016

I've started seeing this CoPilot drop down menu in the top rhs of my Outlook 2016 window. The options don't do anything. Can this be removed?

Open any Office application and click on the File top left (button in older Office versions). Select Options and from the list on the left select the Add-ins section. There you can disable Copilot. Alternatively you can disable Copilot in Windows 11 in general or uninstall it. I don't know exactly how to do that, see at the Tutorials section of this forum.

There is no such add-in to disable, I only see this Copilot menu item in Outlook 2016 and noy later versions of Outlook I have on my other PCs.

Oddly the annoying CoPilot menu doesn't actually do anything!

Go to Settings -> Apps -> Installed Apps Wait for the list to populate, then scroll down and find Copilot. Click on the three dots and select Uninstall. There are also some Advanced Options, you might be able to disable it there if you don't want to completely remove it. Also in any Office application click on the File (button) top left and select Options. Read carefully all sections to see where Copilot is referenced. There you might be able to turn it off.

No Copilot app is installed and there is no such Copilot menu option in Outlook 2016.

I don't know what to think. Look carefully through the list of installed apps. One of them should be the culprit, uninstall it. Also see in the Office Add-ins section. Click to check both the COM and Office add-ins. See if there is anything related you can uncheck the box and disable. All of us with unsupported computers are not get pestered about useless AI feature such as Copilot. If the technology matures and we need it we might have already replaced our computers. For the time being I don't need Copilot or other AI bells and whistles.

PS: In worst case I would completely uninstall Office 2016, restart and install it again. Don't worry your Outlook settings and emails are not affected. Once you load Outlook again everything will be there as nothing changed.
