I was wondering if anyone knew anything more about the Copilot key. Is it going to use the same keycode as the menu key it's replacing or a new keycode? Also, is there yet a way to enable the copilot key (assuming you mapped it to the menu key) in any of the insider builds?

1-It will be a new key added by hardware manufacturers
2-Co-pilot key is WinKey + C, which was formerly many things.
3- A shortcut can also be created:
explorer.exe "Microsoft-edge:///?ux=copilot&tcp=1&source=taskbar"

Do we know yet what the keycode will be (for use in remapping apps such as SharpKey)?

I think it has not been decided yet as discussions are on-going.
You would think that WinKey + C is here to stay though, at least a while.

I just received a brand new Dell XPS laptop and the dedicated CoPilot key generates an F23 keycode which Windows 11 intercepts to call the CoPilot app. If the dedicated function key ("Fn") is held down first it instead generates the keycode for the Windows Appskey (ScanCode = 15D, VK = 5D), which was usually the key previously in this location on many keyboards.
