Copy/Paste not working in Libre Office Doc Writer

Good afternoon all. I've recently developed an issue with Libre Office Document Writer 26.8.1.1 (x86_64.
I can no longer copy/paste like I was able to do 3 days ago. I'm trying to copy/paste a document copy on Libre Office Writer to another copy of Libre Office Writer, located in another location.
I've checked on-line, and this seems to be a frequent issue?
Any suggestions would be appreciated muchly.
Also, why did the font change?, something new?

Hi, could you clarify 'in another location' ?

Are you remoting in to another PC or...?

- I can only imagine you mean an open session of Writer on a different PC...

(Noted: 26.8.1.1 is the very recent latest version - mine just updated).

I guess you're looking to do this as a convenience, rather than saving the selection as a file and importing that file...

Looks like you're on the October Preview Update from 10/28, so anything is possible with previews...

you can try saving the document as a PDF in LibreOffice on your first system
then open the PDF file in the other LibreOffice on the other system

then save it from there into a format that you were already using
such as ODT, doc or docx.
