Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (Build 26200.8728)
I've been experiencing issues with Office 2021 and the advice I've obtained from a MS Community moderator is to follow the instructions in this link.

My queries are
- does this solution work with Windows 11?​
- is there 11 Forum tutorial to cover this? (I've searched the index but I can't find anything that appears to be relevant.)​
- would a clean install be better?​
- does anyone have a better solution?​

Why do Microsoft support thinks its corrupted user profile?

Have you tried repair installing the application from Control Panel --> Programs and features?

Have tried new user account?

Customize how Excel starts - Microsoft Support

Before you start Microsoft Office Excel, you can make sure that a specific workbook or a workbook template or worksheet template that has custom settings opens automatically when you start Excel.

Use an alternate startup folder​

  1. Click File > Options > Advanced.
  2. Under General, in the At Startup, open all files in box, type the full path of the folder that you want to use as the alternate startup folder.

    Because Excel will try to open every file in the alternate startup folder, make sure that you specify a folder that contains only files that Excel can open.

I've created an extra local account, and the issue is not present (see 1st link in message #01).

Try to repair and reinstall the app if that don't work then you have no choice, have to use a new user account.
