I am considering one of the Beelink mini fanless PC's that comes with an Intel Twin Lake N150 CPU. While this CPU is not specifically on Microsoft's list of approved Win11 CPU's, research shows it does work.

I've read several posts on processors that will load Win11 fine but will not take upgrades. Can anyone verify if this is an issue with the Intel N150 processor?

GoogleAI claims that the N150 fully supports Win11 24H2 and later.

The N150 was introduced in late 2024.

I saw the same but was mainly concerned the N150 wasn't on MS list. I have now found that the N100 and N200 are on the approved list, so I'm pretty sure it's good to go.

I worded the OP wrong. I meant there appears to be processors that will initially run Win11 but then have issues when MS upgrades occur. I trust the N150 will not run into these issues with future upgrades.

I can't swear to it, but I'm pretty confident that you'll have no issues.

Yes, I have this GMKtec Mini PC N150. It came with Windows 11 Pro 24H2 and I just upgraded to 25H2.

Incorrect. This CPU is specifically on the compatibility list. It is listed as "N100" series, it doesn't specifically call out the N150.

I have at least 5 Mini PCs with this series of CPUs. They run Windows 11 beautifully. In fact, the laptop that I am in front of at this very moment is based on the N150 CPU (Chuwi MiniBook X N150 laptop).

For simple daily tasks like office apps, browsing the web, watching videos on the Web or even Plex content, these N150 CPUs are fantastic. They even have the Intel QuickSync hardware video encoding / decoding, so they are very fast at compressing video, if that is something that you do. In fact, my little N150 laptop and those Mini PCs will compress video at almost the same speed as my 11th Gen i7 desktop computer with 128GB RAM. Nice!

I've relied on this list: Windows processor requirements Windows 11 supported Intel processors

I didn't realize that MS wasn't updating it.

The list for 245H2: Windows processor requirements Windows 11, version 24H2 supported Intel processors

and 25H2: Windows processor requirements Windows 11, version 25H2 supported Intel processors
