This tutorial will show you how to create Copilot Reminders anywhere that appear as notifications on your Android or iOS mobile device.
Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered digital assistant designed to help you with a range of tasks and activities.
Copilot Reminders are simple, time‑based notifications that pop up on your mobile device at the exact moment you choose. They’re great for:
- remembering appointments or deadlines
- nudging yourself about something later in the day
- keeping track of tasks without having to mentally juggle them
Free Copilot users can create up to 5 reminders, and Microsoft 365 subscribers can create up to 20.
When the time arrives, your device sends you a push notification with the message you set.
When a one-time reminder has expired, it will automatically get deleted by Copilot. You can manually delete reminders you no longer need anytime before they expire.

To get notification alerts on your Android or iOS mobile device from Copilot Reminders, you will need to have the Microsoft Copilot app from the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple Store (iOS) installed on your mobile device, signed in to the Copilot app with your Microsoft account, and enable notification permissions for the Copilot app on your mobile device.
EXAMPLE: Copilot Reminders as notification on mobile device
Here's How:
1 Open either the Copilot app in Windows 11, click/tap on the Copilot icon in Microsoft Edge, or open the copilot.microsoft.com site.
2 Sign in to Copilot or sign in to Microsoft Edge with your Microsoft account if not already.
3 While having a conversation (chat) with Copilot, tell Copilot the what and when you want to be reminded of, and click/tap on the Submit message button. (see screenshots below)
4 Copilot Chat will now let you know if the reminder was successfully scheduled.
If anything is unclear about the reminder, Copilot will ask you to clarify before creating the reminder.
That's it,
Shawn Brink
