Devices Create Devices and Printers shortcut in Windows 11

  • Staff
Devices_and_Printers_banner.png

This tutorial will show you how to create or download a Devices and Printers shortcut for Windows 10 and Windows 11.

The Devices and Printers folder shows devices that are connected to a computer, including the document devices.

When you select a device in Devices and Printers, Device Stage shows the details for that device.

Reference:

When you try to open Devices and Printers from the Control Panel in an Insider build of Windows 11, it will now open to Settings > Bluetooth & devices instead.

I did it the old fashioned way. Creating a shortcut and using - C:\Users\name\Desktop\Devices and Printers.lnk -
changing "name" to your name.

Good morning and Happy New Year
I ask if it is possible to put the new folder "Devices and Printers" in the control panel by renaming it (example "Devices and Printers 2").
I don't know how to do this procedure.
Thank you

Thanks, @Brink. It was a snap to add it to the All Apps list. Now I just have to remember that it's there, since I seldom visit the All Apps list.

thank you for the shortcut. At least it lets you change the name but it doesn't change when you click apply and ok. It stays the same.
