Solved Create windows iso with all updates

Can I somehow create a windows installation iso that contains all updates to this day
I downloaded an iso from the Microsoft site but the image contains only updates up until September last year(downloading and installing updates to make the installation be up to date after that is a real pain)

For example create an image that will install Win11 Home 26200.7623

Not really. Never more than a handful, ususally the latest .net cumulative, latest windows cumulative, and latest defender definitions.

Hi vsub,

You can get an updated ISO from UUPDump.net. It will take a while to assemble so plan on waiting for some time. Just pick the version from the Windows 11 dropdown, then pick the desired build from the list. From there you just follow the prompts (in blue) checking what's desired.

You could use this, but it will take a while.

I don’t know why that would have been.
26200.7623 is the latest ISO if you use MCT to download the ISO.

Brink updates this when Microsoft compiles a new ISO
Media Creation Tool is always ahead of a direct download when it comes to ISO builds.
When using MCT (Media Creation Tool), you don’t need to create the install USB, you can simply tell it to download the ISO only.

@antspants I just downloaded MCT,create the win11 home iso and when I check the install.esd,I get this

To get the actual build of the ISO, you need to look at the metadata inside install.wim or install.esd, not the DISM tool version itself.

Confirming ISO Build 26200.xxxx (25H2)

  • Mount the ISO
  • Run the following relevant (Wim or Esd) command in Powershell as admin:
    • For Wim:
(Replace X with the mounted drive letter)​
dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:X:\sources\install.wim /Index:1​
  • For Esd
(Replace X with the mounted drive letter)​
dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:X:\sources\install.esd /Index:1​
