I count myself among the rare species who actually likes Windows 11. It's reliable and runs well on my PC. Sure there is some bloatware and they integrated all the AI stuff I don't need but this can simply be ignored. All in all Windows 11 is a decent os that gets the job done. But in order to decide whether you'll like it or not you'll just have to try it out yourself. Like already mentioned you could install a dual boot setup. This way you could try out Windows 11 but at the same time keep your Linux in case you don't like Windows 11.

I would not have an issue with Windows 11, if it didn't rub me in the wrong direction at every corner. The core OS works really well and is rock solid.

Remove all the bloat, give the user power to choose what they want and definitely don't force OneDrive, AI, Hardware requirements and Online accounts, and there is no issues at all. Right now Windows wants to turn left when I want to turn right. I'm sick of it.

Currently mostly on Linux and I just install it, add the apps I need, start using them, and that's it. This is how Windows used to be and Linux the OS you had to constantly tweak. The roles have reversed.

I like Windows 11 overall but it does have its annoyances. Be prepared to either love or hate Onedrive (and unlink and remove) as I don't think there is an in between. Same goes for Recall, Device Encryption or Bitlocker depending on if you have Home or Pro, and possibly Co-Pilot as well. On new OS installs they will all be enabled by default so check first thing.

I could do without the internet searches when I only want to search my computer. The worst for overall design, though, was Windows 8. Every time you clicked on the start menu, it was like falling into a pit that led straight to hell, and you're trying to find your way out again.

The stuff that Microsoft forces on you is annoying. I don't need OneDrive, don't want it, and it messes with games that store save data in the Documents folder. Plus the fact that you can't opt out of certain things, have control over certain things. And why do I have to make a Microsoft account to set up a new computer. Everything's too connected these days. And we won't talk about Co-Pilot and other AI rubbish that Microsoft and other tech companies want to force on us.

I don't have much experience with Linux, but it's become that vague dream. They say the grass is always greener on their other side, but all the same... If you're contemplating whether to use Linux of Windows, though, I'm kind of in favor of what other people suggested: making a dual-boot system, so you can try things out and decide which you prefer.

They did remove a lot of good Windows 10 features then later put them back like it was new stuff.
