David you are doing stellar work here providing for us, with that said may I also request some folders from you when can find the time.
I'm looking for folders with JPG, PNG, PSD on individual folders (colors can vary) and one with Adobe on it for my Adobe Work folder.
I've also been looking for a folder to customize my 'Portable' programs folder but I'm unsure of what would be ideal, would you have a suggestion?

Request:
An batch file folder icon,
An PowerShell script folder icon,
An Portable Programs drive icon,
An Attendance folder icon,
and an Screenshots folder icon

I need it for couple of reasons:

for my scripting files and archives so it will be not Mixed with other files,
so the Portable Programs will be on my 16gb drive: Portable Apps. Is it worth it?
Attendance is on my Google Meet and it will be Great if I have one,
The screenshot folder will be good so I can browse my Screenshots more easily, easy posting, and easy tutorials.

What do you mean by "a colorful one"? The games folder is the one that comes with Windows 11. I'm going to prioritize folder icons that do not yet exist in Windows 11.

It's fun! I wanted to help get ideas of new icons to create, so this is helping. A tutorial is a good idea though. Takes a few more extra steps depending on how persnickety you are on icons downscaling nicely.

Sure I can make an Adobe folder. I can also make folders with "JPG" "PNG" and "PSD" on them! I'll think about making a portable programs folder. It's a great idea.

I put them all on "This PC" windows. I actually can make pictures, but have no skill in making icons. Hopefully you can help, and of course I am open too if you need some "materials." Thank you very much.

Edit: one note. Other than the Windows and Adobe folders, the others do not have an icon when scaled down in smaller sizes. Currently the official Windows 11 folders like Contacts, Saved Games, etc. don't do this either. It takes a lot more work to have icons look nice at different sizes.

Thanks. I'm impressed that the icons are pretty good and match the windows 11 theme. But I would be good to requesting some drive icons (not folders).

A windows 11 drive icon with an Windows 10 logo on it (forget this, there's an available on latest Insider build)
A windows 11 drive icon with an USB drive into it. (To match with an DVD drive icon)
A windows 11 drive icon with an Installer. (Good to replace setup.exe icon in an Windows 11 bootable drive)

Got many ideas after seeing this thread again and again. And because I am also working on digital images, I feel I can't just wait and see your surprises. So I tried to make some in PNG. Got no clue about how to make ico files, so I used an online service. Here are the results:

They are 256 x 256px PNG files and I converted to ico using online service.
Please tell me what is still wrong about making these cuties. As far as I know, icons must be in multiple sizes.

Very nice! Yeah online converters will work fine, and the image will scale down and be useable, just not optimized for the smaller sizes. So what you have should work perfectly fine, especially if you're going to be seeing the images in larger resolutions most of the time.

Hey Lucas! I'm so glad, and you're welcome. In terms of portable programs, I was thinking this one from Windows 11 would work:

Or the "Software" folder I made above with the disc on it. Another idea is having a cardboard box icon on a folder, but I haven't made that at this point.

David, most suitable would probably be the USB icon you used above or something similar on a folder color of your choice.
That for me would probably signify 'Portable Programs' more than anything.
I'll leave it up to you though.
