Custom Themes Not Functioning Properly

So I reinstalled Windows yesterday and I got reminded of the custom themes people make. I installed both UltraUXThemePatcher and UXThemePatcher and downloaded a theme called Paranoid Android, but it didn't do anything. I noticed that there's a file called shellstyle.dll, and I swapped it with the shellstyle.dll in System32, but still nothing.
I once used this theme back when I used Windows 10 and it worked fine. Now it seems like the custom theme feature was patched entirely. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The first thing you did wrong was swapping the shellstyle.dll file with the one that is in system32 folder , that is not what it is for, I hope you kept a backup of the original because you need to swap the files back or do a system restore if you did not keep a backup before you proceed below.

When installing third party themes , after installing your UXThemePatcher (Personally I use ThemeSignatureBypass, It works much better and does not need to be constantly updated and uninstalled) .
After extracting niivu's Paranoid Android theme open the extracted folder, you will see a Windows 11 22H2 Themes folder, open it, everything in that folder should be copied to your C:\Windows\Resources\Themes directory, after you have completed that all you should need to do is double click one of the .theme files and the theme should change for you. Each .theme file will provide a different version or effect of the same theme, just choose the one you wish to use.

Keep in mind also with third party themes you need to have StartAllBack installed also (I am assuming you do), otherwise your taskbar and start menu will not be skinned

Just as easy as that ;-)
