Solved (D:) disk missing from Windows 11

If CrystalDiskInfo says Bad (in a RED colored block), then I'd say you have a bad disk or a bad SATA cable.
SATA data cable looks like this...

If CrystalDiskInfo says Caution in an ORANGE block, then you can try this...

Open a command prompt as Admin, and paste this command in there and hit the Enter key... chkdsk D: /r

Confused here, but wouldn't Disk 0 be C: drive not D: drive in most cases ? Okay do see C: listed as Disk 1

If that drive has data on it and it's not backed up, be careful, need to find out the problem before blindly running fixes on it and destroying any data.

Have you done the obvious checks?

Sata cable and power cable plugged in firmly on motherboard and drive? they can and do sometimes work loose.
Can you hear the drive spin up when starting the PC?
Anything in event viewer re the drive?
As it's a Seagate Drive maybe download Seatools run it and see what that says? SeaTools | Support Seagate US

Depends on which socket on the motherboard it's plugged in to and can be complicated further when you have two disk controllers such as Intel and Marvel on the motherboard

Yeah, i did the obvious checks..
I didnt have data on there that im worried will disappear so im not that mad, but i just started to need more space on my computer for my work and noticed (d:) was missing. I talked to someone who fixes computers and he said it might be failed harddrive and will need to be replaced..
I will take it in to confirm with them.
Thank you all for trying to figure out what was wrong

If it's only a year or so old it should still be under warranty Warranty & Replacements | Support Seagate US

True for got that, but thread starter also has an WD M.2 drive (just noticed)

My M2 in my Dell defaults to drive 1 you can't exactly plug it into a different sata port and only 1 M2 socket.

I have 6 drives on system and have (2) M.2 slots my M.2 C: drive shows as disk 5, but and my D: is Disk 1 and so on, similar to way thread starters shows. Strange how she has bad drive already as system is new, should of further tested it.

If there's no data on the drive, I suggest that you junk it. Maybe poke a hole through the platter(s) with an electric drill to make it unreadable.

A new 4TB HDD can be had for roughly $50US. Smaller ones aren't much cheaper. It's not worthwhile to spend much to try to revive the disk, if you don't need to rescue any data.
