date/time widget on taskbar show time off by 2 hours

My system time, verified in settings, is now 8:42 pm, PST. Yet the widget shows 6:41 pm. I have changed the time zone, but that does not affect the time shown in the widget, even though that change changes the system time.

How can i fix this issue.

Update. A reboot solved this problem. I should also note that Outlook Classic was "jammed open" when I tried to reboot.

I did, and made changes. No effect until I rebooted.

In retrospect I think that somehow my system sort of locked up some processes, which got fixed by a reboot.

There are too many nooks and crannies in Windows 11 to explore all the bugs and issues. A reboot is a marvelous tool.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have too many other things to do. Just got out of the hospital and dealing with low energy and brain fog.
