Hi folks
Ive been trying out a few CD rippers for some old (really old classical music) Audio CD's but most of them fail to get music tagged OK or cover art from the typical music sources even Winamp can't get sensible data from the gracenote cddb any more.

K3B on my linux server laptop seems to do the job quickly -- mp3vtag does OK at tagging on Windows but one needs to rip the music first. K3B seems to do the whole kybosh in one go also giving you a whole slew of choices for the target music files.

E.G a "Free" cd given with "The Daily express" from 2004 called Football passion - with that incredible version of Nessun Dorma (from the opera Turandot) -- was the theme opening to Euro 2004 in Italy back then

Freedb and some other CDDB's are fine for more modern music but often not very good for older classical music CD's which is where Gracenote CDDB excelled.
