Delete file without confirmation

I think the confirmation dialog is unavoidable for removeable devices though, if I'm not mistaken.

I've always just clicked the name and then clicked it again to rename files (not a double click)
I have no idea how I pick up certain habits

Ah! I can't do that, I use Single Click and Check Boxes to Select!

I switched to Single Click ages ago, for whatever reason..., probably cuz it's quicker, shaky fingers perhaps.
Actually using Check Boxes to select multiple specific items is pretty rare..., Drag to Select usually suffices.

I always use F2 for rename a file. I like to use keyboard for things.

Haven't read all the posts here...

You could just schedule a script to empty the trash periodically. Then you don't run such a risk of accidentally permanently deleting something.

I just highlight/focus on the file I want to delete, hit the delete key and it appears in my Recycle bin. No warnings or pop-ups or anything.

That's how I read this topic. Yes? No?

I think that's not the case. If you apply the fragment of the bat file below, it deletes everything to the trash without a request, including from flash drives.

Yes, i've selected those options in the recycle bin, to no effect.

Then you have other issues, in my opinion. It’s a simple selection in the recycle bin properties that has never failed for me.
Perhaps a tweak or 3rd party software you’re using to adjust Windows?

I would suggest that it could be a profile issue, I am not sure. To test this, you can create (and then remove if you wish) another user profile for testing.

Then test to see if the confirmation shows after you have changed the settings (If they are separate from the C drive recycle bin properties)

I think you're right. As a test I changed the settings in the Recycle Bin to permanently delete files without a conformation. I then deleted a .jpg that was on my desktop and it deleted without asking for a conformation. I suggest they try a new user profile first. If that doesn't work my second suggestion is to try a repair install. I still think it a bad Idea to have files permanently deleted without a conformation. There are many threads where users have asked how to retrieve deleted files only for them to find that for what ever the reason, they can't.
