Every time I try to delete files or a folder from OneDrive I get a pop up telling me to buy more storage. I do not want to buy storage; I want to reduce the data in my OneDrive. I think in the past I think it was possible to select files to delete and it would ask or guide you to how to delete stuff, but it just sits and dos nothing. Any suggestion why I am dumb about OneDrive?

OneDrive starts to notify you about limited space, once you reach about 80%.
Free version has 5GB, you can get +10GB using fake referrals (3x500MB per week).

Well, how do I delete wasted space? I flagged several folders and deleted, but they are still there. I knew how years ago, but I forgot and then uninstalled it.

Have you tried deleting files from your local OneDrive? Also make sure you turn off OneDrive folder backup first, before deleting files from your local OneDrive.

Have you cleared the onedrive recycle bin - space is not actually freed up until you do this.
